What makes your company unique compared to other drone service providers?2025-05-28T09:44:55-04:00

As a 100% veteran-owned and operated company, we bring a unique blend of military precision, discipline, and experience to our drone services. Our background in piloting military helicopters (UH-60 Blackhawk, UH-72 Lakota, and OH-58 Kiowa airframes) and Combat Aviation Brigade operations provides us with advanced skills in aerial mission planning and execution. Additionally, our use of state-of-the-art equipment like the Skydio X10 and specialized software ensures high-quality results for our clients that other drone service companies simply cannot offer.

What is the professional background and experience of your drone pilots?2025-05-28T09:45:07-04:00

Our drone pilots are highly experienced former US military personnel and are FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot certificate holders. Our lead pilot is a veteran US Army helicopter pilot with an FAA Part 61 Commercial Helicopter Pilot certificate with Instrument rating in addition to Part 107 Remote Pilot certificate, along with advanced industry certifications like AUSVI Top Operator and Skydio Professional Operator. Our team brings a wealth of operational and tactical expertise to our drone services.

Are your drone pilots licensed, and what certifications do they hold?2025-05-28T09:48:31-04:00

Yes, at a minimum our pilots are licensed with FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot certificates. Our lead pilot also holds an FAA Part 61 Commercial Helicopter Pilot certificate w/ Instrument rating and advanced certifications from the Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) Top Operator Program and is a certified Skydio Professional Operator.

Are you insured, and what does your insurance cover?2025-05-28T09:48:25-04:00

Yes, we are fully insured to protect our clients and operations. Our aviation-specific insurance covers liability for property damage, bodily injury, and includes coverage for 100% of our drones and equipment used during operations. We also have standard business general liability and professional liability coverage.

What is your pricing philosophy?2025-05-28T09:48:52-04:00

We have discovered that the majority of our clients prioritize the completion of the job over the duration it takes us to complete it. Consequently, we do not charge an hourly rate. Independent drone operators often include travel time, breaks, and additional expenses when determining a final price. We eliminate uncertainty and associated stress by billing only the original quote for the original scope of work, which is clearly and transparently displayed in your customized Scope of Work contract.

What are your pricing structures for different services?2025-05-28T09:49:02-04:00

Our pricing is tailored to each project based on scope, complexity, and deliverables required. We offer competitive rates for services ranging from simple aerial photography to comprehensive 3D modeling and data analysis. For detailed quotes, please contact us with your specific project requirements.

Can you handle the specific type of project I need, such as construction site precision mapping, agricultural monitoring, or energy & transportation infrastructure inspections?2025-05-28T09:49:41-04:00

Yes, we specialize in providing drone services for General Inspection, Commercial Construction, Agriculture, Energy Infrastructure, Transportation Infrastructure, Environmental Conservation, Hospitality, Telecommunication infrastructure, public safety, real estate, and aerial media photography/videography. Our capabilities include RTK/PPK site mapping, progress monitoring, 3D-modeling, advanced thermal imaging, high-resolution photography, and video production, tailored to meet the specific needs of each industry.

What type of drones and equipment do you use?2025-05-28T09:49:59-04:00

We exclusively operate the Skydio X10 platform, equipped with advanced autonomous capabilities, high-resolution cameras, and attachments such as RTK/PPK for precise positioning, spotlight for low-light conditions, and NightSense for night operations. This platform is designed and manufactured in the USA and is 100% NDAA compliant, allowing us to perform missions with sensitive national security considerations for governmental and government-contracted clients.

How do you maintain your drones to ensure they are in good working condition?2025-05-28T09:50:16-04:00

Our drones undergo regular maintenance checks, per manufacturer guidelines including firmware updates, battery inspections, and physical inspections for wear and tear. We also perform functional tests before each flight to ensure all systems are operational. Any issues are addressed immediately to maintain the highest standards of aviation safety and performance. We lean heavily on our military background to ensure our maintenance and record-keeping is kept to the highest standard.

What safety protocols do you follow during drone operations?2025-05-28T09:50:26-04:00

We adhere to all FAA regulations, federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ordinances, as well as industry best practices for safe drone operations. This includes extensive pre-mission planning, pre-flight checks, maintaining visual line of sight (or using visual observers when necessary), avoiding no-fly zones, and ensuring proper communication monitoring of air traffic control and other aircraft when operating near airports or high-traffic areas, as the mission dictates. Our pilots are trained in emergency procedures and risk assessment to mitigate potential hazards.

What software and processes do you use for data collection and analysis?2025-05-28T09:50:46-04:00

We utilize industry-leading software such as Skydio 3D Scan for 3D modeling, DroneDeploy for mapping and surveying, and FLIR Thermal Studio for thermal imaging analysis. Our processes involve precise flight planning, data collection with high-accuracy GPS using RTK/PPK technology (when mission parameters require), and post-processing to deliver accurate and actionable insights.

How is the data processed, in what format will I receive the final product, and what is the typical turnaround time for projects?2025-05-28T09:50:58-04:00

Data is processed using specialized software to ensure accuracy and usability. Final products can be delivered in various formats such as 3D models, orthomosaic maps, thermal images, edited videos, still images, and more depending on the project requirements. Turnaround time typically ranges from 1-3 business days for standard projects, but can be expedited for urgent needs.

What geographical areas do you service, and is travel outside this area possible?2025-05-28T09:51:30-04:00

We are headquartered in Saratoga County, NY and provide service throughout New York State.

How do you ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and obtain necessary permits?2025-05-28T09:51:41-04:00

We are fully committed to complying with all local, state, and federal regulations governing drone operations. We are highly experienced flying in the National Airspace System (NAS), hold the necessary FAA certifications, and we obtain any required waivers, permits, or approvals required for flying in controlled airspace or restricted areas. Many aspects of FAA Part 107 are waiver-able, and we are comfortable in the process to obtain such authorizations. However, be aware that waiver requirements do add to the project timeline as FAA approval can take some time. We also stay updated with the latest regulatory changes and conduct regular professional development to ensure our operations are always legal, safe, and up to date.

Who retains ownership of the data collected, and are there any restrictions on its use?2025-05-28T09:51:52-04:00

Unlike most drone service companies, with us, the client retains full ownership and rights to use the data collected for their purposes, with no restrictions, unless otherwise specified in the service agreement. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over the data once it is delivered to the client – with one exception. With client consent, we do retain the right to use imaging data for promotional purposes. However, if data sensitivity is a priority, this can always be waived during the contract process.
